  1. This is a very well made hose reel. I have had 2 other different brand reels fall apart in the past few years. Unlike this well made metal reel, they were mostly plastic and did not stand up to the Florida sun and heat. This one may cost a few more dollars, but so far it has proven to be worth it.

  3. Excellent hose reel and very durable. One thing to watch for though is that the crank handle connects using a “reverse thread” that’s NOT mentioned in the paperwork. Luckily, Gorilla sent me a new one in a week’s time.

  5. I’m hoping the time it took to put this hose reel together was worth the effort. Looks sturdier than the plastic reels I have previously purchased which fell apart from sun/heat and cold exposure.

  8. Good hose reel but my problem is with the handle being too short. Would be willing to buy a replacement that is a little longer but don’t see any dimensions on other reels that might make a big difference

  9. This hose reel is a delight to use. It releases and winds the hose perfectly. I expect that it will last a long time due to the high quality of the components that it is made of. With previous hose reels almost every year they would fail in one way or another.
